Penn Medicine reduces IT complexity with enterprise-wide PACS

The University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) serves patients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the surrounding region through a network of five hospitals and ten multispecialty centers. When replacing an almost two-decades old radiology PACS, the UPHS PACS selection committee was on the lookout for a vendor that could provide a robust clinical image viewer not only for radiology images, but for other imaging types as well. Sectra was the vendor that ultimately could meet their needs, support their strategy—and at the same time, minimize IT complexity.
