Sectra secures order with the leading university hospital in Saudi Arabia
The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh, has selected the medical imaging IT company Sectra (STO: SECT B) as its provider of a complete IT solution for the management of radiology images and patient information (Sectra RIS/PACS). The use of Sectra’s solution will increase the availability of images and patient information throughout the hospital, thereby improving patient care.
With facilities located in the capital city of Riyadh and the coastal city of Jeddah, the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSHRC) is the national referral center for oncology, organ transplants, cardiac surgery, genetic diseases and many other disciplines. The hospital’s radiology department currently performs more than 200,000 radiology examinations each year.

Saudi Arabia has a population of about 29 million and the Saudi Arabian government aims to make significant investments in the healthcare sector in the coming years. Sectra already has its systems installed at two prominent university hospitals in the country.
The solution was sold by Attieh Medico, Sectra’s distribution partner for Saudi Arabia.
