Tennessee Breast Center selects Sectra RIS/PACS
Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center (KCBC), a full-service breast health care practice, has recently signed an agreement with the international medical imaging IT company, Sectra (STO: SECT B). Under the agreement, KCBC will utilize Sectra breast imaging PACS and RIS to provide improved service to its referring physician community and patient population.
With Sectra’s solution, KCBC will offer its referring physicians the ability to order studies on-line to ensure prompt scheduling for their patients. The KCBC staff will gain efficiencies via a unified system from image acquisition through report distribution.
“Sectra was a logical choice for our practice,” says the KCBC Administrator, Michelle Oglesby. “We wanted a system that provided full PACS viewing functionality for breast MRI and ultrasound, as well as mammography. The logical hanging protocols and excellent toolset will allow us to continue to be the leader in breast health care in the Knoxville community.”
Sectra Breast Imaging PACS is a web-based, multi-modality workstation featuring advanced diagnostic tools, including integrated CAD and reporting, that offers a single-system reading environment for mammographers. All digital breast images, regardless of modality vendor, are automatically displayed in the same size with correct orientation and alignment, facilitating comparison of current and prior images.
